After the great success of the first QMUL Confucius Institute China Summer Camp in July this year, we will be running the camp again in 2017. Together with the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, we will be providing the opportunity for students to take part in a summer camp in Shanghai. The programme provides students with the chance to discover the economy, culture, language and history of China today. The programme runs for 2 weeks from July 15, 2017 to July 30, 2017.
You will spend two weeks in Shanghai, including a weekend in Beijing. You will learn about the China of today; attend cultural performances, such as the opera and acrobatics; go on excursions, such as to the Great Wall in Beijing and Yu Yuan Garden in Shanghai; study Chinese language; participate in Chinese cultural activities, such as Tai Chi; as well as many more.
Students will study Chinese, and take part in cultural visits such as the Great Wall and Yu Yuan Garden. The cost of the programme is approximately £1000 (price subject to change depending on flights costs) including flights, travel insurance, visa costs, transportation, accommodation, meals, excursions and classes. The deadline for applications is 31st January 2017.
or email firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
This is open to all QMUL students and staff and to non-QMUL aged 18-33. You can see what the students got up to in our last Summer Camp on our blog.
